Combining contemporary and traditional book-making skills, this day-long workshop will explore quick and easy handmade books and book structures. Artists will develop skills, tools and techniques while creating a suite of artist books. Suitable for students, these books will engage your art-making practice in new ways—bringing story-telling, collaborative opportunities and in-depth projects back to your classrooms. Artists enrolled can anticipate creating a suite of blank books with opportunities for personalization. Artists are asked to supply 2-3 sheets of decorative papers (18×24”) and ½ yard of lightweight fabric. All additional tools and materials are supplied by 9INHANDPRESS.
