This one-day event will be held on Saturday\, March 19\, 2022\, at Rowan University in Glassboro\, NJ from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We have selected this date carefully with an understanding of the staffing challenges many school districts in our state are facing.\n\n\nJoin AENJ for a powerful day of professional development designed to help you assess and understand your OUTLOOK to develop a deeper understanding of its impact on your classroom OUTCOME. We will explore the importance of equity\, diversity\, and inclusion in the art room as it relates to our teaching practice\, curriculum/lesson design\, and pedagogy. This timely content will help all of us as we implementation of the new Visual Arts New Jersey Student Learning Standards in a meaningful way.\n\n\nThe day will feature multiple learning sessions: beginning with a keynote presentation by Dr. Wanda Knight (Penn State\, NAEA President-Elect)\, followed by a choice of breakout sessions related to our event’s focus. Lunch will be on your own (BYO or explore the local restaurants within 5 minutes of the event site)\, followed by a choice of a self-guided or guided gallery experience.
