Sessions are:

  • Step into a Blizzard of Winter Art Projects—a fast-paced flurry of creative ideas designed to spark joy in your classroom all winter long!  I’ll share three student-friendly, low-stress projects—a shimmering snowflake design, an irresistible critter-in-the-snow, and a frosty winter landscape—each packed with opportunities for expressive choice, texture exploration, and cross-grade adaptability. These lessons are intentionally simple in materials but big on visual payoff, shifting routines, and excited students. Come warm up with some inspiration, gather a few ready-to-use ideas, and leave with winter projects your students will absolutely love. Presented by LaNelle Gallagher ~ AENJ Elementary Division Award Winner

  • Participants will look at the history of chairs and then plan one of their own. We will translate our designs into fantastic sculptures! Presented by Rachel Therres ~ AENJ Middle Division Award Winner

  • Learn the basics of needle felting, including building a core shape, layering wool, sculpting details, and safely using felting needles. Create a small felted pumpkin suitable for classroom demonstration. Understand how felting fits into a Mixed Media or Sculpture curriculum and how it fosters craftsmanship, problem-solving, and tactile exploration. Receive adaptable materials (lesson plan + student handout) they can bring directly to their own classrooms. Presented by Catherine Bethon ~ Secondary Division Award Winner
