Art Education in today’s culture is about much more than the formal structures of art and the materials and techniques used in creation. Join a panel of art educators from around the state who are bringing contemporary art ideas to the K-12 art classroom. The panel discussion will be followed by two break-out sessions; one directed by museum educators at Grounds For Sculpture in the park and a second featuring a hands-on activity for educators to explore art making from the contemporary perspective.
