Bethany Franz teaches at Bunker Hill Middle School. She was nominated by her supervisor, Gregory B Muscelli.

“Mrs. Franz’s love for art education is second to none. She is always looking for ways to connect with her kids and grow art education not just in her classes, but in our school. Mrs. Franz has created a cross-curricular sugar skull art activity that has become a staple activity at Bunker Hill. Students across the entire school create sugar skulls, which are small decorated skulls made of sugar. The skulls are part of the Latin American tradition of the Day of the Dead. This is just one of the many cross-curricular activities that Mrs. Franz does during the school year. Mr. Franz is an excellent teacher who goes above and beyond for our school community.”
