Meet ANGEI KARAKOGLOU
Mrs. K is an Elementary teacher at Central School in East Brunswick. She enthusiastically advocates for her students and people of all ages through the vehicle of her creative art lessons. Mrs. K encourages and empowers her students to be courageous global participants. Check out this video “Art in the Right” based on her lesson about Human Rights.
Another example of Mrs. K’s lesson creativity is the project she had Hybrid and Remote students working on a Kinetic Art lesson that they all enjoyed very much! She tied the lesson to the students PE’s Yoga classes and Heather Hansen’s Kinetic Art. Students listened to calm meditative music while moving into repetitive patterns through a series of gesture drawings, learning that art can and should be a whole-body experience.
