JANUARY 2021 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Matthew McCarthy is a High School art educator in the East Brunswick Public School District being recognized for his Creative Classroom Solutions and Lessons That Inspire.

He is a collaborative colleague always ready to share and brainstorm problem solving solutions. During the pandemic Matthew openly shared how he tackled student critiques through remote instruction with his colleagues during a secondary-level department meeting.  He is a creative academic with a funny side, always making his colleagues and students laugh with his witty humor.

In addition to being an inspiring art educator, Matthew is a father, a painter and a volunteer for the AENJ Communications workgroup. We are proud and thankful to have Matthew as our member.
