July Member Spotlight – Gayle Gruber

Our July Member Spotlight recognizes Gayle Gruber, MAEDL, MA, National Board Certified Art Teacher- Early and Middle Childhood Art.

Gayle has been teaching for 17 years, 13 of those as a middle school art educator at Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick Township, NJ. Prior to becoming a teacher, Gayle has worked at both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History as a museum administrator.

She is an educator who constantly strives to bring her lessons to the next level. She finds a way to inspire her students to love art and have pride in their personal artistic accomplishments. Gayle often infuses her lessons with principles of character education and a growth mindset; as seen in the fortune cookies containing positive/ motivational messages.

This summer Gayle is excited to be working for the Monmouth County Parks System teaching art with their Therapeutic Recreation program.
